What Is an FTL Load?

FTL stands for full truck load. In practice it means the vehicle is dedicated to your consignment and does not stop to collect anyone else's freight.

Dedicated, not necessarily full

An FTL booking is about exclusivity, not fullness. You can book a full truck for a half-empty deck if you need direct transit — you simply pay for the vehicle either way.

Why customers choose it

Direct transit, minimal handling, predictable timing and a single point of responsibility for the cargo. For fragile, high-value or deadline-driven freight those advantages usually outweigh the cost.

What it costs you when under-loaded

If you regularly send part loads as FTL, you are paying for empty deck. Consolidating into scheduled loads on a fixed lane is generally the cheaper answer.

How to book one properly

Give the operator the full picture: cargo, mass, dimensions, both addresses, the collection date and any fixed delivery window. That is all that is needed to confirm a vehicle.

Have freight ready to move?

Tell us what you are moving, where it is collecting and where it needs to go. We will confirm the right vehicle and send you a rate.
