Compliance
Transport partner verification
When freight is carried by a partner operator, the customer is still entitled to know that operator was checked. This is what we verify, and how.
Company and operating documents
- CIPC company registration documents
- VAT registration information where applicable
- Valid operating position for the vehicle used
- Operator contact details and responsible person
Vehicle and driver
- Vehicle and trailer licence discs
- Roadworthy status
- Trailer type and payload capacity
- Vehicle photographs where relevant
- Driver licence and Professional Driving Permit
Insurance
- Goods in transit cover and per-load limit
- Public liability cover where applicable
- Confirmation that the commodity is not excluded
Operational capability
- Vehicle tracking capability
- Temperature monitoring where the load requires it
- Proof of delivery submission process
- Communication and after-hours contact
How the process works
Documents are collected and checked before a partner is allocated a load. Verification is repeated as documents expire, and an operator whose documentation lapses is removed from allocation until it is corrected.
Partner operators work as independent subcontractors and provide their own vehicles, drivers, fuel, insurance and operating documents. No partner may approach, invoice or contract directly with a Tunnel Fox customer. Every allocation remains subject to verification, availability and a signed subcontractor agreement.
