Cargo type
Animal Feed Transport South Africa
Feed moves in bags, on pallets or in bulk, and each format needs a different vehicle. Deliveries usually go to farms, feedlots and rural distributors where offloading equipment cannot be assumed and access roads can be the deciding factor.
What we need to quote
- Format — bagged, palletised or bulk
- Total tonnage
- Collection mill or depot and delivery farm
- Offloading equipment at the delivery point
- Frequency of loads
Practical considerations
- Bagged feed needs weather protection; a closed or curtain body is normally required.
- Bulk feed needs a receiving point that can accept a tipped discharge.
- Rural access roads may rule out interlink combinations.
