Vehicle type
Lowbed Transport South Africa
Lowbeds carry cargo that is too tall, too heavy or too rigid for a standard deck: excavators, dozers, crushers, transformers and plant equipment. The lowered deck height keeps the overall combination within legal height limits and allows tracked machines to be driven on via ramps. Lowbed work is planned rather than simply booked — dimensions and mass determine the route, the permits and whether escorts are required.

Questions
Lowbed transport FAQs
Do I need an abnormal load permit?
It depends on the dimensions and mass. Send us the measurements and we will confirm whether a permit and escorts are required.
How far in advance should abnormal loads be booked?
As early as possible. Permit turnaround and escort availability, not truck availability, usually set the earliest date.
